Exploring the French Quarter

On Saturday night, we took the St. Charles line street car to the French Quarter. One of the first sites we came upon was the "Musical Legends Park", with bronze statues of Fats Domino, Al Hirt, and Pete Fountain.

After dinner at Napoleon House, we strolled around the French Quarter. To the left is a shot of Bourbon Street on a Saturday night. Before returning to the church, we enjoyed a cafe au lait and beignets at Cafe du Monde.

Arriving at the Church

After arriving at Louis Armstrong International Airport, we took a shuttle to the First Unitarian Universalist Church of New Orleans. First UU is housed in the former First Evangelical Church. Here is a picture of Terry in front of the church, at the corner of S. Claiborne and Jefferson, in the Freret/Broadmoor neighborhood of NOLA.
